From Old to New...

Often, it's the little things that make the difference between mere care and true compassion during a hospital stay. The staff at Diako Mannheim live and work by this principle.

The hospital management has therefore decided to "refresh" its now aging patient rooms to provide residents with a pleasant and contemporary atmosphere, thereby supporting the healing process.

What's interesting is that the layout of the patient rooms and the arrangement of the individual pieces of furniture were not changed, but instead, they were simply replaced with modern materials. This resulted in an entirely new and cozy sense of space – even in the bathroom –, as the area now feels organized and inviting.

A significant contribution to this was made by the VARICOR® washbasin units, manufactured by Schüschke from Kirchentellinsfurt in Baden-Württemberg. These were specially developed in collaboration with the contracting sanitary planning company, Ochs Wärmetechnik GmbH, and integrate seamlessly into the overall design of the newly conceptualized bathroom.

The result is spacious wash areas with storage options and practical towel holders that are directly integrated into the extra-high front panel.

Together with the wall-mounted hairdryer and the adjustable magnifying mirror, the bathroom now evokes more of a feeling of being in a hotel rather than a hospital room.

The precise planning and smart use of modern materials have paid off, and the result is truly impressive!
