Frankfurt’s Westend is a district full of contrasts! On one hand, the high-rise buildings of the banking quarter and the striking Messeturm define the skyline, while at the same time, expansive green spaces invite relaxation, and the numerous Gründerzeit-era buildings lend the cityscape a distinctive charm. One of these historic apartments was recently renovated.
High ceilings, aged wood, exquisite materials - every furnishing had to match this sophisticated setting, including the large dining table, the central element of the room. Its design was entrusted to Astrid Neubauer from her namesake interior design studio in Frankfurt.
The challenge was to create a naturally elegant aesthetic while using a durable, sustainable, repairable, and easy-to-maintain material that would allow for unlimited design possibilities. VARICOR® met all these requirements!
Since VARICOR® offers custom color developments even in small quantities, a marbled décor was specially created following the client’s briefing. The goal was to seamlessly incorporate the wood tone from the table’s base into the marbling, with a carefully coordinated vein pattern to achieve a harmonious effect.
The result is truly stunning - a beautifully crafted oval table with a tailor-made aesthetic.
As a striking design element, the manufacturer seamlessly embedded a brass inlay, which is echoed in other elements of the room.
Harmonious and refined - these words best describe this exceptional masterpiece!
