Founded nearly 90 years ago in Eggolsheim, Upper Franconia, and continuously growing since, the Hümmer joinery is now managed by the third and fourth generations.
Wood naturally plays a central role in the company’s daily work. However, the business also embraces complementary, modern materials. A great example of this is Philipp Hümmer’s own home.
In his historic timber-framed house, he transformed the attic into a spacious and comfortable bathroom.
The space, which was originally a bedroom, was completely gutted during the renovation. Since the homeowner preferred a tiled floor to the original wooden planks made of reclaimed spruce, the boards were removed, cleaned, and oiled – and quickly repurposed for the new interior design.
The beautiful paneling made of warm wood and the exposed beams highlight the room’s unique character, creating a striking contrast to the white VARICOR® elements, which blend harmoniously into the space and perfectly complete the bathroom.
