Sparkasse Kaiserslautern, which began as a small "district savings bank” in 1874, recently celebrated its 150th anniversary!
With over 40 branches and numerous self-service locations, it has grown into a major financial institution serving Kaiserslautern and the surrounding region.
Following a recent redesign, the main branch at Am Altenhof now welcomes customers with a fresh, modern look that creates an inviting atmosphere.
Lothar Schmitt GmbH, a carpentry workshop located just a few kilometers from Kaiserslautern, was entrusted with implementing the interior design. The advantages of short distances were evident, but above all, the quick and personal coordination with the client proved invaluable.
This close collaboration resulted not only in a spacious reception desk but also in numerous smaller counters for customer service.
For the body of each counter, the carpentry workshop thermoformed VARICOR® panels in Anthracite (80 Grey) and strikingly contrasted them with red panels.
As a visual highlight, a cutout in the shape of the distinctive Sparkasse logo was integrated into the counters. This allows for effective backlighting of the logo, ensuring it stands out even in dimly lit surroundings.
This feature not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the counters but also reinforces the bank’s corporate identity.
