Franz von Kohlbrenner - who is that?, some may wonder...

Franz von Kohlbrenner, born in 1728, was a visionary reformer who, despite humble beginnings, made his way into civil service. His outstanding commitment focused on promoting the German language, advancing the education system, and improving hygiene and agriculture.

The Traunstein middle school that bears his name honors his legacy with its guiding principle: "With heart and competence." It prepares over 400 students for their future.

The school building itself has stood since the mid-1950s, making extensive renovation necessary. In 2022, comprehensive work began on the four-story Wing A of the building. This included not only the complete renewal of electrical systems and the replacement of wastewater and drinking water installations but, most importantly, the renovation of the dilapidated sanitary facilities.

After a renovation period of more than 15 months, the new rooms were put into operation following the Christmas holidays of 2023/24.

A unique color concept was implemented for each of the four floors, extending even into the new, bright, and modern sanitary facilities.
For the washbasins, the customizable Jerico 550 model was chosen. However, the client requested several modifications to the standard design...

A wall connection profile was not desired, so it was simply removed, and the washbasins were sealed with silicone along the wall. Additionally, a significantly higher front apron was required compared to the original model. Thanks to the workability of VARICOR^®, this was no problem! Paper disposal tubes were also integrated into both the single and double units. The standard 5 mm flood rim along the front edge of the countertop completes the elegant design and prevents wet floors caused by overflowing water.
