Chris-Albert Gebhardt came up with something truly special for his master carpenter's examination piece - he had a custom trailer built, transforming its plain white shell into a stylish food truck.
Many great ideas, including the self-designed "meister-BAR" logo, were already in place. What followed was a lot of hard work!
One major challenge was also meeting all the hygiene requirements for the food sector.
For the interior fittings, a material was needed that could be processed with standard carpentry tools while also allowing for seamless construction. Additionally, the desired color was black!
Since the work surfaces would be subjected to intense use, they had to be particularly durable and withstand continuous use. Additionally, they needed to be refurbishable. Requirements that the material VARICOR® meets perfectly.
In collaboration with the long-standing VARICOR® top processor, company Rockhausen from Waldheim, a continuous black work surface was created, including seamlessly under-mounted black sinks, as well as a serving area, also made from black VARICOR® panels.
A nice detail of the setup is the beer overflow catch basin. Thanks to the cover with drainage slots, a visible step in the otherwise flat work surface was avoided. The cooling trough for the freshness line was also perfectly integrated into the VARICOR® setup.
The interior looks especially elegant and contrasting due to the combination of the veneered cherry wood fronts of the built-in kitchen.
By the way, the food truck can also be rented for events and celebrations...
